WHAT IS A STALL?
Your stall is your own area (advertising space) where you post pictures and descriptions of the things you have for sale. Every stall is given its own unique stall number (which gives you your own web address) making it simplicity itself to pass on to your friends and family by e-mail.

Your stall has a profile area where you can amend and control parts of your stall as well as a Stall Settings area to allow you to change and add items. Your stall has its own notice area where you can post messages or notices about things you are looking for. You can personalise your stall by uploading your own stall image and profile image.

The site has its own internal messaging system and your stall will show you your own In Box and Out Box so people can contact you easily if they see something they want.

Your stall is your own advertising space on line.

WHAT IS A 2GOOD2TIP COMMUNITY GROUP?

Traditionally,  the community group would be a village hall, school hall or carboot field - people would go and set up their stall there.

On 2good2tip, the community group can be virtually anywhere you want it to be - just put your stall in multiple locations.

You can turn 'real' places you go to or live in, into a 2good2tip community group - your village or town, toddler group, school or workplace, club or pub for example - the choice is yours - in fact, anywhere you interact with other people. It's all about showing the people you live around or work around or socialise around, that you have something to sell - and you can see what others have on offer. You can then invite other people, who you meet regularly, to join in and have their own stall there. Thereby creating safer, friendlier places to buy and sell together.

Community groups are simply groups of stallholders and we encourage the community spirit and a return to buying and selling traditionally. When you create your own community group, for a club or village for example, it's like having your own table-top sale for all those people who use that group or live in that area. Meeting and doing the deal over a friendly chat or a coffee is much more fun.

Once you have your stall all set up you must make sure you make the most of your memberhip and put your stall in as many local community groups as possible. Either join ones that already exist, or simply create new ones.

The more places you put your stall, the more people will see your things and the quicker you will make that sale.

By creating community groups, geographical or otherwise, you are letting people know where there is stuff to buy - that is local to them - somewhere they can identify with.

If you wish you could show everyone in your village what you had for sale - put your stall in your village community group.

If you wish you could show everyone at your office what you had for sale - put your stall on your 2good2tip office community group - doesn't exist ? - no problem just start one.

Having your stall showing on a community group means you can easily sell to people around you, some you may know, some you may not - without having to travel miles or worry about post or couriers. Its all about keeping it simple and local  - and by doing the deal face to face, you keep the profit.

It only takes one person to start a community group and as more people get to know about it, more will join in - and the group will grow.

Once you have your stall set up, you decide which community groups you want your stall to be seen on and you can put your stall in 5 or 8 different community groups at the same time - depending on membership level.

HOW DO 2GOOD2TIP COMMUNITIES WORK?

2good2tip communities work at a local level to encourage the community spirit. Creating safer and friendlier places to buy and sell. It's all about doing the deal with people who are local to you, whether that's someone you work with or meet at a club or who just lives in your neighbourhood.

Having a 2good2tip community group, is rather like having a table-top sale in your local neighbourhood or at your office or club - simply make up your own community group and then invite the people at the club to come and join in. The community can also be used as a tool for fund raising for local charity groups.

We all have stuff around the home we want to get rid of - but how do you let people know you have it for sale?
How many times have you said, or heard someone say 'if I knew you had that for sale, I would have bought if from you' ?

If people in your village, workplace, school, toddler group, pub ... knew you had 'the bike or pram' for sale - it would be so easy to sell it ! and this is how the 2good2tip community groups work. It allows you to see what others have for sale around you and others can see what you have for sale.

Once you put your stall on your chosen community groups, send an email of your stall link to all your friends and family - chances are many of them would also like to join the same community groups to sell their stuff - and so the groups will flourish.

Every community that you have chosen to join will be listed on your stall, so when you send your stall link around on email, people can click on the different communities to browse the stalls. The more people that join in, the more active and fun the market place will be.

HOW DO I PUT MY STALL IN MY NEIGHBOURHOOD, GROUP, CLUB OR ORGANISATION?

There are many ways to can join or start community groups in the site:

Navigate from any page -  using the search facilities on the left hand side of all pages to find your local community groups that exist by postcode, area or name.

Navigate from your stall page - look at the right hand side of your stall and you will see a link to start or join community groups.

Use the map shown on all pages - to find existing groups - then JOIN IN

When you have found a community group you want to join  -  simply use the JOIN button to include your stall on that community.

If the community you are looking for does not yet exist, simply press the button that says ‘’create a community’’ and fill in the simple form details. Once you press 'create' your stall will automatically be added to that new community.

If at any time you wish to remove your stall from a community group, simply go the community page and press 'remove'.
